This article mainly explores in depth the impact of major shareholders' shareholding motivations on the innovation of biotechnology companies. The motivation of major shareholders to hold shares is directly related to the development strategy and decision-making of the enterprise. If major shareholders focus on pursuing short-term interests, it may affect the company's willingness to invest in innovation. On the contrary, if major shareholders have a long-term interest perspective, they are more likely to support the company's investment in innovation. In addition, the professional knowledge and experience of major shareholders will also have an important impact on corporate innovation. At the same time, major shareholders, as leaders of enterprises, also play an important role in encouraging employees to participate in innovation and establishing an innovation culture. Overall, the findings support the significant impact of large shareholders' shareholding motivations on biotechnology companies.
