The primary objective of this study is to examine how the Covid-19 pandemic has affected the consumption habits of dietary supplements among consumers in Taiwan, with a particular emphasis on latent intention. The study is based on the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and utilizes a questionnaire as the primary means of gathering data. The questionnaire evaluates participants' attitudes towards purchasing dietary supplements, subjective norms that influence their behavior, perceived behavioral control, health awareness, perceptions of fair pricing, and trust in the product when making purchasing decisions.
The Covid-19 pandemic has significantly altered consumer behavior, resulting in a heightened interest in dietary supplements as individuals strive to enhance their health and overall well-being. A total of 478 questionnaires were collected, excluding 34 with incomplete information. By applying the TPB framework, this study aims to comprehend the factors that influence consumer acceptance of dietary supplements in the context of the Covid-19 era. The findings of this research endeavor seek to provide valuable practical insights for marketers in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, enabling them to tailor appropriate strategies for enhancing product promotion and developing effective approaches within this sector.
