摘要:	Abstract The Human Immuno-deficiency Virus (HIV) remains a significant global health issue, presenting thousands of new HIV infections and deaths annually. The Kingdom of Eswatini is not spared from the effects of this epidemic, since the country holds the highest HIV prevalence globally. However, existing literature presents inconsistent findings regarding factors related to condom use and adherence to antiretroviral therapy (ART) across various settings. The aim of this study is to investigate the factors influencing condom use and adherence to antiretroviral therapy (ART) among people living with HIV in Eswatini, by analyzing nationally representative data from the Swaziland Measurement Incidence Survey (SHIMS 2). Multivariate logistic regression models examined if the odds of ART adherence and condom use were significantly associated with each predictor after controlling for other confounding variables. Results indicated that age, region, employment status, sexual debut, number of sexual partners, alcohol consumption and TB diagnosis were found to be factors associated with ART adherence. Additionally, age, alcohol consumption and number of sexual partners reduce the likelihood of condom use. Study findings suggest that a multifaceted strategy that promotes both condom use and ART adherence is imperative for effective HIV management and prevention.
