摘要: Objects: White adipose tissue (WAT) plays a crucial role in energy homeostasis and the secretion of adipokines, which maintain metabolic balance. Symbiotic fermentation broth refers to a mutually beneficial relationship between microorganisms, where they collaborate to ferment and produce a diverse array of compounds or substances. This symbiotic interaction offers a range of advantages, including improved digestion and gut health, enhanced immune function, increased nutrient absorption, balanced gut microbiota, and potential protection against pathogens and diseases. This study focuses on the objective of investigating the influence of symbiotic fermentation on WAT and its associated metabolic processes using fermentation soybeans mixed with Lactobacillus brevis (GA6) as probiotic broth. Nevertheless, the molecular mechanism that probiotics or derived probiotics are involved in regulating adipogenesis is largely uncharacterized.
Main methods: In this study, we investigated and estimated the influence of symbiotic fermentation (GA6) on the homeostasis of serum triglycerides and cholesterol using an animal model. Subsequently, the impact of GA6 supplementation on gene expression profiles within adipose tissue or in vitro-cultured adipocytes was evaluated using whole transcriptome sequencing.
Key findings: In 3T3-L1 cells, GA6 has exhibited significant inhibitory activity against adipogenesis and adipocyte differentiation markers. Supplementation with GA6 has shown promise in regulating adipogenesis and influencing the distribution of white adipose tissue (WAT) and brown adipose tissue (BAT) in various adipose depots. Furthermore, GA6 has been found to impact the expression of adipogenesis-related genes through its interactions with neural polypyrimidine tract-binding protein (nPTB) and RNA-binding motif protein 4a (RBM4a) during the process of adipogenesis. These findings underscore the potential of GA6 as a multifaceted regulator of adipocyte function, offering valuable insights for potential therapeutic interventions related to adipose tissue and metabolism.
Conclusion: GA6 broth has influenced adipogenesis and positively metabolic activities both in vitro and in vivo.
