摘要:	Recent studies reveal that citizens of the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI) have migrated out of the country to places like the United States, in seek of better opportunities and a better quality of life amongst many other reasons (van der Geest, 2019). As the world advances, the status of healthcare in the RMI remains at a standstill and it is time to acknowledge that and change it. At this point in time, in this century, every country should have access to basic healthcare and if they do not, the country must identify the problems and form resolutions to help protect one of the basic human rights: the right to health. This study is the first study done on patient safety culture in the Marshall Islands and has provided a metric measurement of the level of patient safety culture amongst healthcare workers in the Marshall Islands, using the Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture 2.0, (HSOPS 2.0). It has identified the gaps in the work environment which could potentially lead to adverse events in the delivery of healthcare. The study highlights the nine (9) dimensions of patient safety culture, where the RMI stands compared to international benchmarks, and solutions the nation may adopt to improve their results in the future.
