In Taiwan, the number of dogs and cats has overtaken the young population aged 0-14 for the first time in 2021. The main reason for the increasing status of pets is the changing of the industry and the changing demographics, which therefore has created huge business opportunities for the pet medical market. With advances in medical technology, regenerative medicine and stem cell therapy are also widely used in pets, and many companies are now using stem cells to treat chronic diseases in pets. Although the regenerative medicine industry in Taiwan has been developed for more than a decade, the application of stem cell therapy to pets is still lagging behind compared to other countries. Therefore, the aim of this case study is to describe an innovative pet stem cell company that can obtain stem cells on its own and conduct animal trials in qualified sites, and then analyze the benefits of introducing them to vets. In this study, a case study of a vet in Taoyuan, Taiwan was conducted to investigate the feasibility of introducing stem cell therapy into the hospital by using market analysis, SWOT analysis, and Porter's five forces analysis. In addition, Porter's five forces analysis indicated that the company has built up a good reputation and quality through its cooperation with world-renowned stem cell suppliers, and is able to attract more customers. In terms of revenue, this study uses the statistics of markets as a reference to calculate the revenue of the case company after the introduction of stem cell therapy and estimates that the revenue growth rate could be at least 5%, with an annual increase of 1.25%. However, with the advancement of technologies such as big data and artificial intelligence, the development of the regenerative medicine industry is changing rapidly. It is believed that regulations will keep pace with the times to provide a good scientific environment for stem cell therapy to cure more pets and improve their life expectancy and quality of life.
