摘要:	Background: Vaccine hesitancy (VH) refers to a delay or refusal of vaccine uptake and is noted as one of the Top 10 Global Health threats. The current study aims to analyze worldwide research trends and patterns of scholarly productivity and identify indicators that could be associated with publications on VH before and after the occurrence of COVID-19. Method: This is a descriptive bibliometric study using the Scopus database to retrieve relevant publications. The comparative research used keywords in the titles and abstracts of original articles. The study included the years 1967 - 2019 and 2020 - 2023. The VosViewer program visualized key terms, country productivity, and collaborative ties. Results: 5,309 publications were identified, with 82.5% (4,379) published during the pandemic and 17.5% (930) pre-COVID. The USA remains the country with the most publications on VH throughout the research period, with China gaining momentum in research activity. Before COVID, 60 countries published on the topic, this number increased to 114 post-COVID, with a clear trend to a more active collaboration network among countries. Before the pandemic, publications on VH mainly circulated around terms such as "influenza," "hpv" or vaccines in general. During the pandemic, these terms faded into the background, and most publications focused on VH regarding COVID-19. Conclusions: Alongside a diversification of publishing countries, strengthened international collaboration, and easier accessibility to publications, the study found that the COVID-19 pandemic seemed to shift the overall interest in vaccine hesitancy, especially toward the impacts of the pandemic.
