    Title: Psychometric properties of the traditional Chinese versions of work productivity questionnaires and factors related to productivity

    Abstract: Background: Little attention has been paid by employers to reduced productivity at work due to illness in Taiwan because valid instruments to measure productivity are lacking.
    Aims: To compare the validities of CWPAI:GH and the CWHO-HPQ.
    Methods: We carried out a cross-sectional validation study on Taiwanese employees. ANOVAs and Spearman’s correlation coefficients were calculated to examine validities of the CWPAI:GH and CWHO-HPQ.
    Results: The CWPAI:GH had acceptable validities for evaluating lost productivity among 165 Taiwanese employees. The content validity and concurrent validity of the CWHO-HPQ were acceptable. However, the CWHO-HPQ had an inadequate construct validity (< 75% results were consistent with hypotheses).
    Conclusions: The CWPAI:GH might be used to assess lost productivity because of illness in Taiwan.
